Fast Day 2!

So I forgot to mention my evening meal from day 1....probably because I was so unimpressed!  A Tesco Noodle, chinesey easy meal....was a bit nothing and looked like it on the plate.  So I decided to have a look at how many calories were in things more closely.  Chicken breast about a calorie a gram, excellent, fish about the same and as for veggies well they contain virtually no calories at all!

So day 2 started - the normal banana for breakfast with a cup of earl grey (about 100 calories)

Lot's of bottle water all through the morning and then for lunch a tin of soup, chicken and sweetcorn, which tasted surprisingly much better than the tin I had on Monday.  I put this down to the fact that I boiled it in a pan and didn't microwave it which seemed to make it thicker (170 calories for the soup)

Again  lot's of bottle water through the afternoon and then for dinner it was a 150 gram chicken breast and a plate full of roasted peppers, onions and courgettes which came in at well under 100 calories - under 250 calories for the dinner.

So day 2 was well under 600 calories and I have not felt hungry at all.  I put this down to the water which I didn't do on day 1 and also have quickly learned that low calorie diet meals are crap!  Soup was OK though although I plan to make my own over the weekend with the beans I have in the freezer.  I was going to have green beans and swede with my chicken but the beans in Tesco's were from Kenya and cost £2 for a small amount.  I grow thousands of the things over the summer so will tuck into whatever green veg I have growing on the allotment over the summer.  I'm quite keen to stick with the chicken and will alternate that with fish when I can barbecue the fish outside.

I also plan to buy some decent scales over the weekend so I know if I'm losing weight!

One final thing I want to say is that on Monday (day 1) I did find myself thinking about food and how everywhere you go you see food!  I couldn't help thinking I was becoming like the lion chasing the zebra in the film Madagascar but today was completely different.
